Since the beginning of the year I have been working with the team at the Wharton School of Business to to help design and build a networking site for the Alumni. The idea was that the site was to be a cross between LinkedIn and a dating site. Meaning, you were encouraged to reach out to the other users in a very focused, and private, kind of search in an effort to find the perfect match for your requests.
The design of the page needed to be nested within the Wharton brand. It also needed to provide an uncluttered way to get to requests and filtered content. It’s a huge undertaking and will likely require feedback from users over time to get it just right.
